A Historic Milestone in Molyko: CAMSU BUEA Unveils New Regional Office and Students’ Masjid as a Beacon of Faith and Unity
The landscape of Molyko, Buea, was transformed into a scene of celebration and spiritual significance as the Cameroon Muslim Students’ Union (CAMSU) officially inaugurated its Regional Office and Students’ Masjid at UB Junction, Street One South. Under a sky filled with promise, Friday, December 19th, 2025, became a date etched in history, marking the successful completion of a project that serves as a testament to the power of collective vision and unwavering faith. The ceremony commenced with a vibrant reception of community members, traditional rulers, and religious authorities, alongside key figures from the city’s educational and financial sectors. The event was further elevated by the esteemed presence of the Representative of the Lord Mayor of Buea and the Representative of the Divisional Officer of Buea, both of whom were received with high honors by the religious leadership and CAMSU executives, including the Representative of the National President, Mr. Harouna Mahamat, National Vice President in charge of General policy implementation.
The air was thick with a sense of accomplishment as the program reached its peak with the symbolic cutting of the ribbon, an act that officially opened the doors to a future of enhanced student support and community engagement. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a guided tour of the modern facility, which seamlessly blends administrative functionality with a serene environment for worship. This physical landmark reached its spiritual fulfillment during the first Jumu’ah prayer held within its walls, led with profound eloquence by the Chief Imam of the Central Mosque, Buea. As the congregation stood shoulder to shoulder, the atmosphere resonated with the core values of the project: unity, education, and development. This achievement stands not only as a functional hub for the Muslim student body but as a symbol of peace and progress for the entire Molyko-Buea community.
